Starting with the most haunted destination of India is Bhangarh, a deserted town in Rajasthan, which was established in AD 1613 by the King Madho Singh, son of great Mughal general, Man Singh of Amber. Hundreds of horror stories have been associated with this place. Bhangarh was abandoned soon after it was built and supposedly after it was cursed by a magician. In ignorance Ajab Singh, the grandson of Madho Singh, raised the palace to such a height that the shadow reached the forbidden place. Hence the devastation of entire town of Bhangarh happened. Local villagers say that whenever a house is built there its roof collapses. People say that nobody returned who stayed there after dark. And to scare you further, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) sign board put up there says, "Staying after sunset is strictly prohibited in this area." Will you dare to go there?
Dumas Beach, Surat, Gujarat
The Original Land of the Dead, this one will definitely scare the hell out of you. Since the lonely beach has been used as an after-death burial ground by the Hindus for many years, a lot of spirits reside here. If you ever dare to take a walk at this place, you may soon find some unwanted companions along. Local people have said to hear some of the most scariest whispers of people talking in groups.
The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai

One of the most oldest and biggest fort of Maharashtra is the Shaniwarwada Fort in Pune City. People say that on Full Moon nights this place becomes the most haunted spot. As per the local, this fort is haunted by the ghost of a prince who was brutally assassinated when he was 13 year old by one of his relative. His voice is said to be heard in the middle of every night.
GP Block - Meerut
Some people say that GP block of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh is a haunted ground. A house here is said to be the abode of the ghosts of several young boys and girls. As per some old story, a tragic incident have taken place here several years ago.
